Default Take out greens

Guild Wars was a lot more fun before the release of greens. Since they came out it has made it a lot easier to get perfect items at small prices and sell items. You can keep them but make there drop ratio a lot lower and maybe make them more expensive than golds...

out of most players, those who can afford a 100k axe are 99% E-Bayers! and i dont want to get my account banned cuz i wanted a nice looking weapon!

actually for an average GW account, a 30k weapon is expensive, cuz an average account has less then 20k on it

So you like the idea of spending 150k on a perfect [nongreen] mod weapon?

Lol yes Vahn Roi is right. The perfect gold cost 100k+. Its ridiculous. Greens are just and easy way to get a nice weapons. But I've heard that some golds are better than greens. So if you want a better weapon, get a gold and spead thousands of $$. But if you just want somthing cheap and AFFORDABLE, go with the greens.

I agree with the others, green items were a good idea since they allow players to obtain modded items for a small fee compared to what it would cost to buy them. Removing greens is adding grind to the game.

If by some bizarre miracle they did decide to take greens out of the game, they would probably just discontinue them (like the Rockmolder) rather than actually "removing" them from the game.

I really don't think A-net would ever do this, besides, greens look good and give you a cheaper way to get greens ex. the razorstone has the sephis axe skin which are very rare.

Wouldnt that lead to green prices sky rocketing... if an offhand ele item like the rockmolder went from 1k to 60k+ cuz of a 10% mod imagine all the others...

Green weapons are the only middle class items in the game. Cheap perfect mods that are within the grasp of almost every player in the game with a minimum of effort in either getting the gold or finding it themselves. Green items need to stay since they are the only balance between the ultra high end golds that only the rich can afford and the rest of the weapons the general populace can get ahold of.

isnt this a good thing? there are so many people that dont have 100k+ in their account, especially new players. is it bad that they made really nice weapons easily accessible to these players. please consider those who cant afford perfect sickles (victos) or perfect sephis' (razorstone). just be glad they didnt make extra rare skins into greens like serpents or crystallines. if you want to spend 100k+to get a perfect gold item go ahead, no one's stopping you. plus the greens dont hurt the prices of perfect golds if thats what your worried about. a gold sephis identical to a razorstone wont be 20k thats for sure.

ok ummm to the poster of this topic.. you should be dragged out into the street and have the crud kicked outa you... no offense but as is PvE's only real reward IS GREENS while the PvE'rs get fame, rank, money(if they GvG and get into a toruney and win), and they only have to spend like 10 mins to get a new skill...so umm NO FRICKING WAY

The drop ratio is already low. If you searched other threads on how sometimes it's hard to get green items. Then you'll know that. I mean lowering the drop ratio, will only make farmers rise the price on the green items.

Plus like others here have posted, greens are cheaper than perfect gold items. And with Factions comming out, green items may drop even lower in price.

Thus making the removal of greens totally counterproductive to the stated reasoning, my point exactly.

and Dragonblood, I would think the opposite; Given the current greens will mostly likely remain exclusive to Tyria, somewhere down the rode they will become very popular items for those who like collecting elusive loot. This coupled with the lower drop rate and the recent correction of the Gear/Book exploit combined with the potential decline in Tyrian activeness with time (who the hell wants to go back to ascalon?)would logically raise the value of Greens a good deal Imho.

i doubt they will do anything about greens beacause part of what gw is about is not having to play 24/7 to be a powerful or have fun
